St-Hilaire urban planning, Laurier boulevard / Route 116, St-Hilaire

This mandate, given by the City of Mont-Saint-Hilaire serves to illustrate the potential for redevelopment and determines the optimal use of land situated at the intersection northwest of Laurier Boulevard / Route 116 and the boulevard Grande-Allée which are likely to be the subject of a redevelopment in the medium term.

The study established an option in the planning of a plot of land which would determine the projected roads, pathways to the station, networks of pedestrian traffic, cyclists and public transport, the different urban functions, the landscape approach and the architectural approach. The dominant feature will be composed of multifamily buildings of three to six floors and homes of low and medium density. The implementation is in close communion with the landscape. This will be in the shape of a large «Land Art» type element that will highlight this project along the Boulevard, marking the specificity of Mont-Saint-Hilaire and integrating art to the urban development. This will ensure a distinctive identity of the commercial boulevard.
